Umme Sayla Rumki is a physiotherapist, came from a low income family. She had completed graduation on physiotherapy since 2008 from Dhaka University. From the childhood, she used to dream to build her own business instead of getting job. Therefore she started a physiotherapy center by renting 500 square feet place near to her living area at Mohammadpur, Dhaka in 2009. After 2 years of startup time, the place owner took back the place. It was big shocking for her due to unavailability of getting another place. It’s very difficult to get a commercial place in Dhaka city with cheap, especially for women. To secure her life and livelihood she started working as physiotherapy employee in different hospital of Dhaka city around 2 years. But she was very unhappy, she thought that she should not do job because she has capacity to create job for others. During that time by the way she reached out by B’Yeah and got support of developing entrepreneurship in 2015. She had received the basic training, advance training, business profile development and financial institutional linkage from the Turning Job Seekers into Job Creator project of B’Yeah. After support of B’Yeah, she rented 700 square feet business space in Uttara of Dhaka city which is more posh then the previous business location of Mohammadpur. She shifted her living place as well from Mohammadpur to Uttora. Now after 1 year, she is owner of around 1500 Square feels full frame physiotherapy centre decorated with air condition. Almost 10 employees are working in the physiotherapy centre with separated sections of male and female. Recently they have initiated a JIM for female and dental clinic services. Umme Sayla Rumki’s final dream is to build a full face physiotherapy hospital where around thousands of people will get chance to work.
