Rony’s Rooftop Restaurant

Salman Islam Rony, a graduate from Kabi Nazrul Government College majoring in Physics, was never really interested in getting a traditional job. He wanted to start something on his own. From that though he started his restaurant Cloud 11 Rooftop Restaurant on the 10th of December 2020 in Keraniganj. “Cloud 11” is probably the first rooftop restaurant in Keraniganj.

But the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic was at large, extending lockdowns made it hard for Rony to keep his business running. He didn’t want to end his journey before he even began.

E-commerce & Digital Marketing Skills Training

4 days into the business he joined BYEAH. He implemented the skills obtained from the E-commerce & Digital Marketing Skills Training to open a page online and sell his products there.

Decent Work Principles Training

This training taught Rony to create documents and contracts for his old and new employees. He created a roster for his employees ensuring weekly day offs for them. He installed a fire safety system and first aid kit in his restaurant.

With the training support from BYEAH, Rony has increased his initial capital of BDT 1,800,000 to BDT 2,500,000. Cloud-11 has 11 employees working diligently to help the business grow.

Salman Islam Rony dreams of growing his business through franchising his brand, while creating employment opportunities for the youths of our country.
