Oxfam’s Social Innovation and Incubation Programme (OSIIP) 2.0: Empowering Entrepreneurs for Sustainable Impact

Unlocking Growth & Impact for Early-Stage Entrepreneurs

OSIIP 2.0 is transforming the entrepreneurial landscape in Bangladesh by equipping early-stage founders with the tools, networks, and strategies they need to build profitable and impact-driven businesses. Implemented by Bangladesh Youth Enterprise Advice & Helpcentre (BYEAH) from November 2024 to March 2025, the program focused on fostering sustainable business growth, strengthening impact integration, and enhancing investment readiness.

Through intensive bootcamps, strategic outreach, and one-on-one coaching, OSIIP 2.0 supported entrepreneurs in Khulna and Chittagong, helping them refine their business models, scale effectively, and integrate impact as a driver of competitive advantage

A Holistic Approach to Entrepreneurial Success

Understanding Entrepreneurs’ Needs

Our in-depth engagement identified three distinct types of entrepreneurs, each requiring tailored interventions:

  • Profit-Driven Entrepreneurs – Prioritize revenue but often perceive impact as secondary. We demonstrated how integrating impact can enhance market positioning and business resilience.

  • Entrepreneurs Balancing Impact & Profit – Recognize the value of impact but struggle with financial sustainability. We provided structured strategies for aligning financial growth with social and environmental impact.

  • Impact-First Entrepreneurs – Focus on mission but lack the business fundamentals to scale. We equipped them with financial and operational expertise to strengthen their long-term sustainability.

Removing Barriers to Growth

To address key entrepreneurial challenges, OSIIP 2.0 introduced:

  • Flexible Learning Formats – Modular workshops, evening coaching, and hybrid engagement options to fit busy entrepreneurs' schedules.

  • Targeted Coaching & Mentorship – Multi-tiered mentoring, personalized business guidance, and peer learning circles to reinforce practical application.

  • Digital & Offline Accessibility – Tailored toolkits, simplified digital solutions, and hybrid delivery models to ensure accessibility across urban and rural areas.

Expanding Reach & Community Engagement

A strategic outreach initiative enabled deep community engagement by:

  • Forming Regional Partnerships – Collaborations with chambers of commerce and entrepreneurship networks to expand program reach.

  • Integrating Digital & Traditional Outreach– A digital-first strategy amplified awareness, while in-person events fostered trust and participation.

  • Prioritizing Inclusivity – Multilingual, culturally sensitive materials ensured diverse participation, particularly among women entrepreneurs and those in priority sectors like sustainable agriculture and renewable energy.

The Impact We've Created

OSIIP 2.0’s innovative approach resulted in:
