Khuti

Khuti

Khuti is a sustainable brand that promotes the use of eco-friendly jute bags as an alternative to:

  • Plastic bags (harmful to the environment)

  • Artificial leather (requires foreign imports, affecting the local economy)

Vision

To create a locally empowered, eco-conscious brand that promotes sustainable fashion while contributing to the economy and empowering women.

The Problem with Opponents

  1. Plastic:

    • Still widely used despite the 2002 ban in Bangladesh

    • Harms the environment, economy, and health

  2. Artificial Leather:

    • Often imported, causing foreign currency outflow

    • Khuti aims to replace these with locally-made jute products

Khuti’s Environmental & Social Impact

  • Jute-based products are biodegradable and eco-friendly, supporting SDG 13 (Climate Action)

  • Involves women workers, promoting women’s empowerment and SDG 5 (Gender Equality)

Planned Use of Funding

If Khuti receives financial support, the money will be used for:

  1. Environmental Awareness Campaign (Social Media): ৳1,00,000

  2. Market Research (Price sensitivity for jute/leather bags): ৳1,00,000

  3. Branding & Rebranding (Logo, website): ৳1,00,000
